Nowadays it is very rare to encounter bows by French classic master Eugène Nicolas Sartory (1871-1946) which are still original down to the smallest detail. This particular E. Sartory violin bow is around 100 years old but still features the original winding and the ivory tip plate which E. Sartory himself fashioned.

The elegant, round stick is made of beautiful reddish-brown pernambuco and features E. Sartory's stamp E. SARTORY PARIS over the frog; the ebony frog has a silver mounting and a Parisian eye. With its clear, strong and sophisticated sound, this fine E. Sartory violin bow meets the highest standards which can rightfully be expected of its famous origin. It is sold with a certificate of authenticity by Pierre Guillaume Brussels and a written valuation of €100,000.

Beyond its musical merits, this violin bow is a promising investment with high potential for appreciation, as genuine Sartory bows have impressively demonstrated over the past 10 years.

Apart from this piece, only one other bow by this sought-after master in this gold and ivory finish has survived. It is therefore an extremely rare collector's item, entrusted to us by a professional musician.
