This antique French violin labeled Sebastien Vuillaume was built in the well-known violin making town of Mirecourt in the Vosges mountains and is an excellent example of the accurate craftsmanship in the renowned workshops of the town. This antique French violin features a nice, precisely inlaid purfling, a delicate scroll and soft flutings that are the clear work of an experienced hand. Luminous golden-brown colored varnish with red touches and antique patina and interesting traces of use covers quality tonewoods, flamed maple of the two-piece back and regularly grained spruce of the table. This beautiful antique French violin is preserved with minor repairs that suit an antique violin of this age in good condition and was worked over completely in our atelier. Our expert violin makers applied a fine new ebony setup and recommend this instrument for its mature, singing voice and for its immediate response.  Like all our instruments and bows, this includes our trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
