Antique violin from Germany, built around 1850 - a characteristic example of Klingenthal violin making in the 19th century, which produced instruments with an exceptionally beautiful sound and preserved some of the special features of older violin making traditions. Another typical feature is the glossy light brown varnish, which lends the high-quality tonewoods an antique character with its interesting play of colors. Both the back and the sides are made from beautiful, finely to strongly flamed maple, the top from medium grained spruce. Narrow, elegant sound holes, a finely crafted arching and a simply crafted scroll full of character leave no doubt about the solid craftsmanship of the unknown violin maker, whose work is characterized by a warm, sweet sound rich in overtones. With repairs and some traces typical of age, this antique violin is in good condition, having been looked over and checked in our specialist workshop. Free shipping, with a 30-day return policy.
