Rare master violin by Ernst Heinrich Roth I – early, personal work by the founder of the Ernst Heinrich Roth company
This wonderful Guarnerius copy from the Markneukirchen master Ernst Heinrich Roth I is warmly recommended for soloists and concertmasters. According to the latest information from the Ernst Heinrich Roth company, it was made in 1917. Its clear, dominant, resonant sound combines brilliance and maturity — outstanding tonal qualities that complement the delicate aesthetic of this sought-after early 20th century Ernst Heinrich Roth I personal master instrument, which was crafted by the master himself and before the relocation from Markneukirchen to Bubenreuth which took place in 1955 with the finest artisanry. Premium maple with deep flames was chosen for the two-piece back and ribs. The antiqued varnish puts the finishing touch on the interesting grain of the spruce top and gives it a beautiful appearance. The origin of this fine Ernst Heinrich Roth violin is confirmed by its original stamp. At our violin making studio, the crackfree violin was meticulously set up and worked over and is now - like all instruments from us - ready to play - with no cracks. Its ideally balanced, powerful voice and precise playing characteristics will open up broad horizons of nuanced musical interpretations.
