Hans Fürst, violin maker in Mittenwald (1896 - 1976)

This tonally excellent Mittenwald violin by Thomas Fürst is a typical instrument of the Mittenwald violin making tradition. Selected tonewoods originate from the Mittenwald surrounding Karwendel mountains, tonewoods responsible not only for the beautiful optical appearance of the violin but also for its characteristic tonal character. The delicate, expressivescroll and the neatly engraved soundholes attest solid skills of the maker. The richly applied orange-brown oil varnish shows some signs of age and is in gerenally good condition. This highly recommendable Mittenwald violin by Hans Fürst is offered in excellent condition, it has been meticulously worked over by our master violin maker and is offered in perfect condition, ready to play. This powerful violin responds instantly and has a clear, ringing and very powerful, warm voice.
