Neuner & Hornsteiner

This Neuner & Hornsteiner violin, a Strad model that has a mature, clear tone, was made in Mittenwald in approximately 1860. The violin bears the original Neuner & Hornsteiner maker's label - "Neuner & Hornsteiner in Mittenwald", which has partially been voided for unknown reason. The varnish is a dark bordeaux red-brown Mittenwald varnish over a yellow ground, in good condition with some marks, minor flaws and wear witnessing the high age of the violin. Like all violins in our online catalogue, this good and powerful Neuner & Hornsteiner Mittenwald violin has been thoroughly worked over and set up by our luthiers and is offered in perfect playing condition. The large sound is of excellent quality and volume: clear and mature with a bright note, this violin is our special recommendation in the price range.
