This fine French viola bow by Marie Louis Piernot was made in Paris in approximately 1930. It is a fine piece that was made for Pierre Hel that features a rare combination of excellent, high strength and French tension and elastiticty. This Piernot bow is therefore perfectly suitable for professional players that need a powerful bow that takes both pressure and plays versatily soft on occasion. The round stick is made of premium quality, red-brown colored pernambuco wood. The silver mounted ebony frog bears a Parisian eye and is a fine example for the classical beauty of French superiour quality violin bows from Paris. This fine Marie Louis Piernot bow that is perfectly preserved is suitable for strong, active playing and produces a large and clear sound with very radiant character, and is offered in excellent condition, ready to play.
