This powerful French violin bow by Marie Louis Piernot was made in Paris in the 1920s for the great Victor Fetique, whose original stamp "Vtor Fetique a Paris" it bears. With its extremely strong, round stick made of the best reddish-brown pernambuco, this violin bow is particularly suitable for players who play with a lot of pressure but do not want to miss the fine playing qualities and the noble, flowing sound of typical French bows. The outstanding sound and playing characteristics of this violin bow reflect Marie Louis Piernot's excellent training and many years of working in the best workshops of modern French violin making, a path that took him from Charles Nicolas Bazin to Vigneron Père and Léon Bernardel over a period of more than 20 years. From the 1920s onwards, Piernot worked in his own atelier in the Rue de la Liberté in Paris, and the violin bow offered here immediately reveals the experience of a successful decade as an independent master. His ebony frog with mother-of-pearl eye and real silver mounting offers the classic, beautiful, traditional features of Parisian bows of superior quality. The balance point feels centered, slightly in the lower half and is measured at 25.6 cm of the total length of 74.2 cm, including the legs. The sound of this fine Parisian violin bow is powerfully radiant, clear and large. Thanks to its perfect, undamaged condition and careful reconditioning in our workshop, its fresh activity is immediately and reliably available for demanding interpretations. The price includes a certificate from the renowned Parisian bow making expert J.-F. Raffin, which is included with the bow and does not need to be added to the shopping cart. Like all string instruments from Corilon, delivery is free of charge and there is a 30-day right of return.
